Julie Walling has been behind the lens since high school and holds a degree in photography with a minor in marketing from the University of Dayton.

Her professional career started in 1980 as a photographic assistant for Patterson Graphics. In 1984 she became photographer for Austin Bewsey Studio, a retail advertising studio in Cincinnati, photographing tabletop products for retail stores Shillitos-Rikes, Main Street and Gold Circle.

Julie worked as a product photographer for Elder-Beerman Stores Corporate from 1997-2004. She has expertise in large format 4x5 view cameras with tungsten and strobe studio lighting. Her work at Elder-Beerman ranged from intricate jewelry photography to detail-oriented room settings for Elder-Beerman’s bedding products. Her images often were featured on catalog covers.
